Dr. Ogbonnaya Chukwu
Dr. Ogbonnaya Chukwu holds Ph.D in Agricultural Engineering (Food Engineering) from Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. He is a Senior Lecturer in Department of Agricultural Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State. He is also a Visiting Consultant and Postdoctoral Fellow in Department of Agricultural Engineering, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. He has research and teaching experience with tertiary institutions of higher esteem within and outside Nigeria in such institutions as the Federal College of Education, Kontagora, Federal University of Technology, Minna, as well as Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. His research areas include: Post harvest Losses of Agricultural and Biological Materials, Storage and Food Products Stability, Food Product Analysis, Design and Development of Food Processing Equipment, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of Food Processing, and Impact Prediction, Simulation and Modeling of Post harvest Processing. He held many positions of responsibilities outside the University community such as Editor, International Journal of Agricultural Engineering, Caspian Journal of Environmental Sciences, International Journal of Post harvest Technology and Innovation as well as Agricultural Engineering International – The CIGRE- Journal. He won the Prof E. U. Odigboh’s Prize for students graduating with First Class Honours in Agricultural Engineering Department, University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1987. He is a member, Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, Asian Association for Agricultural Engineering, European Society of Agricultural Engineering, Editorial Board of International Journal of Association for Modeling and Simulation Techniques in Enterprises and American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. He authored over 41 articles in learned Journals published nationally and internationally, and has presented several papers in conference/Workshops.
