Emmanuel J. Uko, LL.D

Dr. Emmanuel J. Uko holds LL.D in Public and Legal Philosophy from Northwest University, Mafikeng Campus in South Africa. He is a senior Lecturer and Acting Head, Department of Private Law, University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He has taught Courses in Human Right Law, Equity and Trust, Family Law in Nigeria, International Protection of Human Right, Public Health and Health Education, Medical Sociology, Business Law, Mass Communication Law, Environmental Law, Planning Law and Criminal Law at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within some outstanding tertiary institutions in Nigeria such as University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Kogi State University, Anyigba, Kogi State, School of Health Technology, Calabar, Cross River State and School of Nursing and Midwifery, Calabar/Uyo. Dr. Uko has authored 3 text books in Law 18 Journal articles in both national and international Journals of reputable standard, and has presented papers in major conferences attended. He is a member of American Public Health Association, American Association of Health Administrators, Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Public Health Association and Nigerian Association of Health Administration. He has held many positions of responsibility within and outside the university community such as Editor, International Journal of Law and Contemporary Studies.
