Professor Onome D. Awaritefe is the Dean School of Social Sciences and former Head, Department of Geography and Regional Planning, Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria. He is also former Vice President, Resource Utilization and Management Association of Nigeria (RUMAN). At present, he is the Associate Dean, Post Graduate School, Delta State University, Abraka. His Ph.D examined the Spatial Pattern of Tourism Preferences and Demand in Nigeria. Professor Awaritefe has his teaching and research interest in areas of Tourism and Recreation, Urban and Regional Planning, Quantitative Methods in Geography and History of Philosophy and Methodology of Geography, Geography of Education and has several research publications in these areas in various National and International Journals. He has also published and co-edited several books and also member of academic bodies as Environment and Behaviour Association of Nigeria, Nigeria Geographical Association.
